Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 24, 2026
Hive Investing (this site, and the associated Blogger, YouTube, and podcast
feed published under the same name) is operated by a single individual as a
personal research and publishing project. This policy explains how Google
account data is used by the automation that runs this project.
Who this applies to
This project connects to Google services using only the operator's
own Google account. It is not a multi-user application, does not
offer "Sign in with Google" to visitors, and does not collect, process, or
store personal data belonging to any third party through Google APIs.
What Google data is accessed, and why
- Blogger — used to automatically publish blog posts written
by the operator's content pipeline to the operator's own Blogger site.
- YouTube (upload, readonly) — used to automatically upload
videos produced by the operator's content pipeline to the operator's own
YouTube channel, and to read basic channel/video status to confirm uploads
succeeded.
- Gmail (modify, send) — used internally by the automation
to send and organize the operator's own notification emails about the
publishing pipeline (for example, run summaries and error alerts). It is not
used to read, send, or act on anyone else's email.
- Calendar — used to schedule and check the operator's own
publishing calendar (for example, when the next post or episode is due).
- Drive (readonly, file) — used to read and store the
operator's own working files (drafts, audio, generated artifacts) used by the
content pipeline.
- Sheets (readonly) — used to read the operator's own
tracking spreadsheets (for example, a content calendar or publishing log).
- Cloud Platform (read-only) — used internally by the
automation to read the status of its own Google Cloud project (for example,
API quota and configuration checks). It does not access any other Google
Cloud project or any data belonging to anyone else.
What is not collected
This site is a static blog, podcast feed, and archive. It does not use
cookies, analytics, tracking pixels, or sign-in forms, and it does not collect
any data from visitors who read or listen to the content.
Data sharing
No data accessed through these Google scopes is sold, rented, or shared
with any third party. Data is used solely to operate this project's own
publishing automation.
Google API Services User Data Policy
This project's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs
to any other app adheres to the
Google
API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Data retention and revocation
Tokens and working files are retained only as long as needed to operate the
publishing pipeline. Access can be revoked at any time from the
Google Account
permissions page.
